The Amazing Benefits of Tumeric Milk!

You really need to try this. Now.  I’ve been using Tumeric as an anti-inflammatory pain medication for about 4 years now, as a safer and more effective replacement for over the counter pain medicine. The results are immediate – my pain level starts to disappear before I’m even done my mug and the medicinal benefits last me up to 4 hours! Golden (Tumeric) milk is a snap to make and tastes rich and  delicious, similar to a chai. I use the actual root of tumeric, but you can substitute the powder if you want.

Ingredients:

1 tsp tumeric powder, or a slice of the root about the size of a nickel.

2 or more nickel sized slices of ginger root, to taste, or 1-2 tsp ginger powder.

2 cups of milk of your choice, dairy or non. If using non dairy milk, add 1 tsp coconut oil

Pinch of black pepper

1 – 2 tbsp honey (to taste)

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Combine ingredients in a nutribullet and blend one minute.  Milk will turn a light gold. (If you don’t have a blender and are using powdered ingredients, combine ingredients in a pot). Transfer liquid to a pot and whisk briskly on the stove at medium high until frothy but not boiling. Pour into your favorite mug, sit back and enjoy the most delicious, natural, cullinary painkiller on earth! 🙂
